OUR BUYING GUIDELINES
Please read these guidelines IN FULL if you want to have a successful appointment and make the most money.
1. What We Buy: We buy adult fashion in all sizes based on overall condition, our current inventory levels and what is currently selling in the store. All items must be clean/freshly laundered and in good/sellable condition. Items with excessive wear, odors, dirt, pet hair, holes, stains, missing buttons, etc., will be returned. We are more selective on wardrobe basics and all accessories/jewelry.
If you have maternity/nursing, upscale women's or kids' clothes, check out our sister stores! Clementine sells designer and contemporary women's fashion on consignment. Clover sells kids' (sizes newborn-14) + maternity/nursing clothes. Both stores are conveniently located a few doors down from us.
2. How Much to Bring: You may bring 1-2 medium-size tote bags/small containers* per appointment (a reusable grocery bag is ideal😊). 3-4 bags/containers require two appointments on the same day. Please email us at info@ashbyrva.com for prior approval if you have more than 4 bags/containers. *one storage bin/full Ikea-size bag=two medium bags=OK for one appointment😊
3. Your Appointment Day: You must show us a valid, photo ID in order to sell with us. (If you’re under 18, you can bring an adult with a valid ID). Please allow 10-15 minutes for review and processing. Items we do not buy (passes) are returned to you.
IMPORTANT NOTES!! Since we process your clothes on the spot and immediately add them to our inventory, we cannot discuss specific purchased items, return purchased items or provide an itemized buy list once your buy is complete. Please request an itemized list or let us know if you would like a price on a specific item at drop off!
4. Your Payout: We email your payout details by the end of your appointment day, offering 30% via PayPal or 50% via in-store credit (applied to a store account). You will receive payment the same day if you respond to us before 4PM. Otherwise, you may be paid the next business day.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Sellers can make appointments two days per week. Additional appointments in the same week will be canceled.
- We do not accept walk ins. All sellers must have an appointment with a valid, photo ID.
- Unless requested when you check in, we cannot honor special requests such as discussing specific purchased items, returning purchased items or providing an itemized buy list.
- If you arrive late or come on the wrong day/time, you may be asked to reschedule.
- Multiple "no-call/no-show" sellers will be denied future appointments.
- Unclaimed passes are donated without further notice.
- We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
